Police destroy 100 marijuana plants valued at $100,0000

Officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force have discovered 100 marijuana plants in an anti-crime exercise, in the San Juan district earlier this week.

The exercise, supervised by ASP (Ag.) Michael Sooker and Sgt. (Ag) Simeon Guelmo, took place between 2 pm and 10 pm, on Monday 23rd April, 2018.

Acting on information, officers proceeded to an abandoned house, at the top of Shadow Hill, Laventille Road, San Juan, where the fully grown plants were discovered and subsequently destroyed.

The drug has an estimated street value of $100,000.

No arrest was made in connection with the find.
