One pistol and a quantity of ammunition have been discovered by officers of the Point Fortin Criminal Investigations Department (CID) during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Chatham district.

While on patrol on Wednesday, Sgt. Ramsingh along with a party of officers attached to the Point Fortin CID, conducted a search in Irois Forest, Chatham.

The search led to one black Sig Sauer pistol and a magazine containing 12 rounds of 9mm ammunition, being discovered.
