A police officer known as the singing policeman has died.
PC Dexter Theophille was found unresponsive at his Enterprise home around 8:30 Tuesday evening by his wife.
Police say personnel from the Emergency Health Services responded but the 45-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Theophille, who gained popularity for his singing talents and performances at police events, had 21 years' service and was last assigned to the Central Division.
This is another blow for the Police Service as only in March of this year senior officer Mark Maharaj was also found dead at his home.
