The Professional Standards Bureau is investigating the circumstances which led to a police vehicle being stranded on a seashore.
Preliminary reports indicate that police officers left the patrol SUV on the shoreline of a beach in Cedros and went on a boat in pursuit of an alleged drug smuggler.
However, upon their return they discovered the vehicle partially submerged due to high tide.
The incident is said to have occurred on Saturday.
When contacted public information officer of the TTPS Michael Jackman was unable to confirm the information but indicated that the matter was before the Professional Standards Bureau for Investigation.
