Ramlogan makes 2nd appearance in court on charges of misbehaviour in public office

Thursday, January 11, 2018 - 14:00

Former attorney general Anand Ramlogan made a second appearance in court today on charges of misbehaviour in public office and obstruction of justice.

However, the matter was adjourned to April 27th, after just five minutes in the Port-of-Spain Magistrates Court.

Acting Chief Magistrate Maria Busby Earle Caddle presided over the hearing and was told the police file had not yet been sent by the police to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for the appointment of a prosecutor.

The charges against Ramlogan stem from a report made by director of the Police Complaints Authority, David West,  in January 2015.
