Two police officers have been positively identified during two separate identification parades in relation to a stabbing and firearm brandishing incidents.
A Special Reserve Officer attached to the Guard and Emergency Branch and Sergeant attached to the Professional Standards Bureau were pointed out during the parades held at the Central Police Station and the La Horquetta Police Station respectively.
The SRP surrendered to officers at the Woodbrook Police Station in relation a stabbing incident along Ariapita Avenue last Friday.
Police said that after he was pointed out the officer complained of not feeling well and was taken to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital where he was warded.
Police said the offer was suffering from high blood pressure and dizziness.
The sergeant was arrested in connection with brandishing of his service weapon in front of a teenager and his father last year.
Police will be consulting with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions on the best way forward in both cases.
