Gunmen fired "wild" shots in East Port of Spain on Wednesday morning, causing havoc at the South East Port of Spain Secondary School, where one teacher was grazed by one of the bullets.
The incident occurred at about 10.45 am.
A pupil escaped injury as one of the bullets went over his head, missing him by mere centimetres.
This was confirmed to Guardian Media by a teacher who wished not to be identified. The teacher said the incident has left them terrified and shaken.
The school’s principal has dismissed classes early as crime scene investigators made their way to the school to carry out investigations.
