The Ministry of Works and Transport is advising of a temporary traffic disruption over the weekend, along the southbound lane of the Uriah Butler Highway.
The disruption will be in effect on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th November, between the hours of 7am and 7pm, in the vicinity of four locations on the southbound lane of the Uriah Butler Highway:
– At the 4.97 km mark, the bridge right before the Caroni Flyover
– At the 5.88 km mark, the first bridge after the Caroni Flyover
– At the 6.40 km mark, the second bridge after the Caroni Flyover
– At the 8.19 km mark, the bridge in the vicinity of the recently closed American Stores
The ministry says a minimum of two (2) lanes of traffic will remain open to motorists in the southbound direction along the Uriah Butler Highway at all times.
Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and observe all directional signs.
In addition, motorists must comply with instructions from police officers on site to facilitate the flow of traffic in an orderly manner.
