The acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Vishwanath Partapsingh is putting Trinidad and Tobago on alert for Malaria.
During a press conference hosted by the Health Ministry today, Dr Partapsingh said there have been a number of reported cases for 2018.
Malaria is a mosquito-borne disease and members of the public are being asked to take personal responsibility to clear all possible breeding grounds. Travel history is also a factor in contracting the disease.
