The Trinidad and Tobago police service is denying that it failed to enforce a protection order against the man who killed Naiee Singh.
In a release today, the TTPS set the record straight by revealing that Singh never filed any complaints with the police.
It further revealed that Singh was granted a protection order just one week before her murder and her protection order was never served to her district police station.
CNC3 news understands that once a protection order is granted by the court, the person must inform his or her district police station to have the order enforced.
In light of such, the police service is urging survivors to please inform officers in their local station when a protection order is obtained.
