Members of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF) and the US military will work together in Trinidad and Tobago on training exercises over the next three weeks, the US Embassy in Port-of-Spain said.
The Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) exercises will commence in Trinidad and Tobago from July 5 to August 16.
The United States Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), through the US Embassy, is facilitating the training.
The exercise is part of a series of engagements with the TTDF that provide opportunities for Trinidad and Tobago and US elite units to work together, learn from each other, and strengthen relationships.
The embassy says that the TTDF and their US Special Operations elite unit counterparts will be training throughout Trinidad and Tobago and exchanging best practices in various areas of expertise.
The JCETs have been conducted regularly in Trinidad and Tobago for several years.
