The Tropical Storm Warning for Trinidad &Tobago has been changed into an Adverse Weather Warning, moving the warning level from red to orange.
The Met Service says that as Tropical Storm Karen moves away from both islands, the threat of tropical storm conditions no longer exists.
Ongoing weather is expected to continue today into tomorrow and can have severe impacts in several communities.
Periods of heavy to intense rain/showers and/or thunderstorms will continue today. Heavy/intense downpours can result in street/flash flooding.
Gusty winds in excess of 60 km/hr can be expected and the risk of landslides/landslips is very high in areas so prone.
Sea conditions are also likely to become occasionally rough and choppy.
