Princes Town man charged with murder

A Princes Town man is expected to appear before an Arima Magistrate today, charged with the murder of Randell Bramble, which occurred on Thursday 4th June 2020.

A Princes Town man is expected to appear before an Arima Magistrate today, charged with the murder of Randell Bramble, which occurred on Thursday 4th June 2020.

Official police reports state that 23-year-old Shaquille Jemmott, of 3rd Branch Road, New Grant, Princes Town, was also charged with possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition, following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard SC, on Friday 12th June 2020.

The body of 29-year-old Randell Bramble, of Torrib Trace, New Grant, Princes Town, was found by police officers in an open lot of land at Old Brazil Road, Wallerfield, on Saturday 6th June, 2020. He reportedly was shot during an incident at the same location on Thursday 4th June 2020.

Following the shooting incident on Thursday 4th June 2020, a report was made to the Valencia Police Post and two suspects were held shortly after in the Wallerfield district in connection with the matter.

One of the suspects was subsequently released.

Investigations were supervised by ASP Douglas of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (Region 3).

Jemmott was charged by W/Sgt Lewis of the Arima Police Station, on Friday 12th June 2020.
