A 56-year-old Princess Town man has been charged with sexual touching of a minor. He is expected to appear before a Princes Town Magistrate today.
The suspect was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual touching a minor on December 5th by WPC Ramroop of the Southern Division Child Protection Unit (CPU).
According to police reports, the charges arose out of a report made by a 13-year-old girl. The child reported that sometime between November and December 2019, while at the home of her cousin, she was sexually assaulted by the man. The girl later confided in her mother sometime afterwards, who then reported the matter to police in October 2020. The man was subsequently charged with the offences following investigations.
