A quarry operator was killed instantly when his vehicle collided with a lamp post along the Old Valencia Road on Monday night, minutes after the curfew came into effect.

Police reported that around 9.40 pm Jason Ramdhan was driving his vehicle, a silver Nissan Primera, along the Old Valencia Road when he crashed into a T&TEC pole.

Officers said Ramdhan – who lived at Sand Quarry Road, Valencia and Williams Trace Extension, Sangre Grande – was the sole occupant of the car and died on the spot.
