Emergency repairs currently are being made to a 16-inch diameter transmission pipeline near the Caura Water Treatment Plant, and should be complete by midnight, says an advisory from the Water and Sewerage Authority.

At present, customers served by the Caura Water Treatment Plant are experiencing a service disruption with their pipe borne water supply, because of the ongoing repair works.

Affected areas are North of the Eastern Main Road from El Dorado Road, Tunapuna, to Dickson Street, Tacarigua, inclusive of: Caura Hospital, Karamath Street, El Dorado Gardens, Madoo Hill, Paradise Gardens, Thavenot Street, Balgobin Street, Crown Street and environs.

WASA customers are reminded it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas, in accordance with pipe borne water supply schedules.
