The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (MET) has discontinued the riverine flodd alert for Trinidad. In a press release issued today, the MET stated that most of Trinidad’s major watercourses are now below threshold levels and a decreasing trend is expected to continue.
Residual flooding is still affecting a few areas, and any additional rainfall in these areas can further compound the situation. No significant rise in levels in major watercourses is anticipated at this time.
