Several parts of Tobago including Belle Garden, Goodwood and Roxborough, will have an interruption in their pipe-borne water supply today, Thursday 9 September 2021, because of a planned power outage by the Trinidad & Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) that will impact operations at the Richmond Water Treatment Plant.

An advisory from the Water and Sewerage Authority notes the service disruption will be between 9:30 am and 2:00 pm, today.

However, WASA says a limited truck borne service will be available, with priority given to health institutions, government agencies and homes for the aged.

Areas affected include:

Goodwood, Goldsborough, Pembroke, Glamorgan, Richmond, Belle Garden, Kendal, Argyle, Roxborough, Betsy’s Hope and Louis D’Or.

WASA customers are reminded that it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe-borne water supply to normalise to some areas after the facility is returned to operation.

For further information or assistance, customers are encouraged to contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420 and 800-4426.
