San Fernando Immigration Office closed for sanitisation

The Ministry of National Security has issued an advisory explaining that the San Fernando office of the Immigration Department has been closed for today, to facilitate sanitisation of the premises, because of possible COVID-19 infection of a police officer assigned there.

IMMIGRATION OFFICE SAN FERNANDO CLOSED TODAY FOR SANITIZATION

The Ministry of National Security advises the public that the Immigration Division offices located at No. 2 Knox Street, San Fernando will be closed today, Friday August 07, 2020 in order to facilitate sanitization of the premises.

This has become necessary as a police officer attached to the Immigration Enforcement Unit, San Fernando has been identified as part of a contact trace investigation for COVID-19.

Operations at that office are expected to resume on Monday August 10, 2020.

The Ministry regrets any inconvenience that may be caused.
