The Immigration Division’s offices in Scarborough, Tobago, have been closed until further notice, in order to carry out sanitization of the premises.

Confirmation has come from an official statement from the Ministry of National Security issued today.

IMMIGRATION OFFICE IN SCARBOROUGH, TOBAGO CLOSED FOR SANITIZATION

Port of Spain: The Ministry of National Security advises the public that the Immigration Division office located at the Port Authority Complex, 2-4 Carrington Street, Scarborough, Tobago will be closed until further notice, in order to facilitate sanitization of the premises.

This has become necessary as members of staff attached to the Immigration Enforcement Unit, housed at that office, have been identified as part of a contact trace investigation for COVID-19.

As a precautionary measure, all members of staff attached to that office have been quarantined.

The Ministry regrets any inconvenience that may be caused.
