Scarborough man arrested over stabbing incident

A 40-year-old man has been arrested by Scarborough Police for wounding with intent.

Police reports state that on Tuesday 15th September 2020, around 10:15 pm, an 18-year-old man was liming on the side of Mary’s Hill Road when he had an altercation with a man whom he knew.

A struggle ensued between both men and the 40-year-old man pulled out a metal object from his waist and dealt the victim a stab to the right side of his body.

The 40-year old carpenter, of Mary’s Hill Village, Mary’s Hill, also sustained injuries to his right thumb and right arm. He was taken to the Scarborough General Hospital for medical attention.

The suspect was treated and released from the hospital, but he has since been arrested for the offence of wounding.
