A second man has been

charged with the murder of Defence Force Reserve Peter Thomas.

A T&T Police Service release said Davy Johnson, also known as “Croc,” 38, of Councilman Gardens, Malick, Morvant, was also charged with the following offences:

• Two counts of shooting with intent at two men.

• Possession of firearm with intent to endanger life.

• Possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life.

• Possession of firearm.

• Possession of ammunition.

The charges were laid by PC Hyde of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region 2, on Sunday, following advice from Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Roger Gaspard SC.

Thomas, 52, a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force Reserves, was shot on September 11, 2021, at a residence in Malick, Barataria.

He died as a result of his injuries on September 14.

An investigation was launched into the incident and eventually led to the accused being arrested on Sunday.

The investigations were supervised by ASP Lindon Douglas, Insp Ramjag, Insp Hosein and Insp Sylvester, all of Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region 2.

Jamille Collymore, also known as “Boyo,” was previously charged with the same offences in connection with the incident and appeared before a Port-of-Spain magistrate last week Thursday. He was remanded and scheduled to reappear in court on October 21.
