Service interruption in parts of St. James/Cocorite and environs

The Water and Sewerage Authority says customers in St. James/Cocorite and environs are currently experiencing a disruption in their water supply because of a ruptured 21 inch diameter transmission pipeline, along the Western Main Road, Cocorite, in the vicinity of the Peake’s Service Station.

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in St. James/Cocorite and environs, who are currently experiencing a disruption in their water supply that this is due to a ruptured 21 inch diameter transmission pipeline, along the Western Main Road, Cocorite, in the vicinity of the Peake’s Service Station.

Extensive emergency repair works presently underway are expected to be completed by 7:00 a.m. on Thursday 14th April, 2022. Areas affected include:  St James  Cocorite  Powder Magazine Customers are advised that it may take up to 12 hours for the pipe borne water supply to normalize to some affected areas following the completion of these repair works.

Motorists are also advised to proceed with caution and to obey the instructions of the Traffic Control Officers on duty in the vicinity of the jobsite.

A limited truck-borne water service will be available upon request. For further information or assistance, customers are asked to contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/4426. The Authority apologises for the inconvenience and thanks customers for their patience and understanding.
