Service interruption to parts of Arima

Parts of Arima currently without a pipe-borne water supply should have the service restored by tomorrow, Monday 4th May 2020.

A release from the Water and Sewerage Authority explains that the service interruption is because of a ruptured 16-inch transmission pipeline at the Guanapo Water Treatment Plant.

WASA says emergency repair works currently are underway and should be completed by 6:00 a.m. tomorrow.

Customers are advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the supply to normalize to some affected areas, in accordance with established water supply schedules.

The areas affected include:

• The Borough of Arima (North of Broadway)

• Calvary Hill

• Pinto Road

• Bypass Road

• Maturita

• Demerara Road

• Guanapo Road

• La Retreate Road
