The roll-out of the Pfizer vaccines for Secondary School students in Tobago has been postponed.
The island was scheduled to begin its student vaccination program simultaneously with Trinidad today, with students at the Scarborough Secondary and Pentecostal Light and Life Foundation High School.
Attributing the delay to “unforeseen circumstances”, an official statement from the Division of Education, Innovation and Energy did not provide any other explanation for the interruption, other than to say the roll-out of the vaccines will begin tomorrow, August 19th, at the Bishop’s High School and Speyside High School, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Vaccination of students will continue on the following day (Friday) at the Signal Hill Secondary School and the Pentecostal Light and Life Foundation High School, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The Division’s release noted that students at the Scarborough Secondary School, the Harmon School of SDA and Goodwood Secondary School will receive their vaccinations on Monday, August 23rd.
Meanwhile, the vaccination program for children between 12 and 18 years is being rolled out at several locations throughout Trinidad, today.
