Only one of the seven students who consumed marijuana brownies at the Chaguanas North Secondary school last Friday returned to school on Monday. However, Minister of Education Anthony Garcia said all seven students are in good health.
The Minister said according to a report a form five student bought the marijuana-infused brownies from a vendor in Couva on Friday and shared them with six of her friends, who ate three each.
He said the students later complained about feeling ill and an ambulance was called in and the students were rushed to the health centre.
However, the Minister could not confirm if the students knew what they were consuming and said he will refrain from speculating.
He said he will wait for the findings of the investigation to determine his next move.
