Supply disruption to parts of North East Trinidad

Residents of parts of North East Trinidad—from Arouca to Sangre Grande—will have their current water supply disruption sorted out by tonight.

Residents of parts of North East Trinidad—from Arouca to Sangre Grande—will have their current water supply disruption sorted out by tonight.

An advisory from the Water and Sewerage Authority explains that emergency repair works currently are underway at the North Oropouche Water Treatment Plant, which has experienced a power failure caused by fallen trees on the electrical cables at the facility.

WASA explains the disruption in their pipe borne water supply should come to an end with the completion of emergency repairs by 6:00 pm today, Sunday 27th September 2020.

Customers are advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas, in accordance with pipe borne water supply schedules.
