A man suspected of allegedly being involved in a series of shootings in the Port-of-Spain Division was detained for questioning, following an anti-crime exercise in Belmont early on Thursday morning.

Police said at about 4 am, the suspect was taken into custody after police officers executed a warrant at his home at Rudolph Charles Link Road in Gonzales.

The suspect was taken to the Central Police Station for questioning into his alleged involvement in several shootings in Port of Spain and environs, police said.

The police exercise was led by ACP Gaffar and Snr Supt Nobbee.
