Two people are dead and two others warded at hospital following what police believe was a drive-by shooting incident in D'abadie.
A 15-year-old boy has appeared in the Port-of-Spain 8th Magistrate Court today charged with the Carnival J'ouvert murder of retired soldier, Calvert James.
James, 56, of 23 Gordon Avenue, Mt Lambert, died on Monday 27th February, 2017, from multiple stab wounds.
He was killed during an incident at the corner of Prince and Henry Streets, Port-of-Spain.
Police are investigating the murder of a 15-year-old student of the Success Laventille Secondary School on Friday night.
He has been identified as Joel Huggins.
Police say Huggins was liming with his brother outside an apartment at Almond Court, Morvant,when a group of men approached them.
Police say the older brother ran off but the men shot the teenager.
His brother later found him lying face down with several gunshot wounds.
Homicide officers are investigating.
A 15-year-old was shot dead last night in Chaguanas while liming with friends.
He has been identified as Mohammed Ali of Moonstone Crescent 500.
Police reports indicate that Ali was playing a game of cards at a restaurant in the Village Plaza with friends around 10 pm Thursday night, when a white AD wagon pulled up.
The occupants opened fire on Ali, who was shot in his head.
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested with a firearm in Laventille. Police say the boy ran off when he saw the police during an operation.
