Three men abducted in Freeport

Two Freeport fam­i­lies are ap­peal­ing for the pub­lic's help in find­ing three men who were ab­duct­ed on Sun­day out­side their homes.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, Shaz­ard Ho­sein, 29, Aaron Roop­nar­ine, 19 and his broth­er Sunil Roop­nar­ine, 23 were at a par­lour in Uquire Road, Freeport when a car and a van pulled up around 4 pm.

Two men armed with guns got out of the car and ran in­to the par­lour, de­mand­ing the shop­keep­er hand over cig­a­rettes and mon­ey.

Still no word on whereabouts of abducted teen

Six days after being abducted, there is still no word on the whereabouts of 18-year-old Darrell Michael Cuffy.

The teenager was allegedly kidnapped while driving a motorcar in Maraval last Wednesday.

According to reports two men were seen forcing the teenager into another vehicle at Cullen Street, Fairways around 10 pm.

Officers of the anti-kidnapping squad and St Clair Police Station are continuing investigations.


Search on for teenager abducted in Maraval

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is seeking the urgent assistance of the public in locating 18-year-old Darrell Michael Cuffie, who was abducted on Wednesday 25th April, 2018.

Cuffie, of Duke Street, Port of Spain, was last seen driving a BMW motor vehicle along Collins Road, Fairways, Maraval, around 9:30pm on Wednesday 25th April, 2018.

Shortly after, a dark coloured Honda CRV motor vehicle with male occupants forced Cuffie’s vehicle to a stop, then bundled him into their car before speeding away.

Husband claims wife abducted

It’s been a week since mother of seven Kunti Deopersad went missing and her family is worried sick that she may have been kidnapped.

This after her husband, Tilkee Gopaul, received a call from her saying that she was snatched by four men.

Gopaul, 61, of Oropouche South Trace, Barrackpore said he has not been able to eat or sleep since he heard his wife’s distress call.

Freeport mason abducted

Freeport police are investigating the abduction of a 34-year-old man from the community on Sunday.

Ravi Anthony was reportedly walking along Lime Fruit Road with one of his cousins when a car pulled up alongside them. Anthony’s cousin managed to escape, but he was accosted by two of the vehicle’s occupants, beaten and thrown into the vehicle and taken away.

Up to late last night, Anthony remained missing and the family had received no calls for a ransom.
