Mikela Panday, the former Oropouche West Member of Parliament and daughter of UNC founder Basdeo Panday, will break her silence on what role she will play in the upcoming UNC Internal Elections, at a media conference at 1 pm on Friday.
The announcement will come just half an hour before Parliament resumes, with a major change in the Opposition also related to the election, that of Dr Roodal Moonilal being replaced as Chief Whip by Ganga Singh.
UNC founder Basdeo Panday says he is being tempted to offer himself to lead the party once more but adds that he wants to hear the views of the people.
Mr Panday was on WINTV's Eyewitness News when he was asked whether he was willing to "give it one last hoorah".
"I'm being tempted," he replied
Mr Panday said he wants to hear the views of the people but is unable to do so.
