$50,000 bail for La Romaine man on burglary & assault charges

A La Romaine man has been granted $50,000 own bail, after appearing before a San Fernando Magistrate, charged with burglarising the home of a 42-year-old woman, on Sunday 20th May, 2018.

Roger Seunarine, 33, of Woodlands, La Romaine, who is also charged with assault by beating and assault occasioning a wound, appeared before Magistrate Alicia Chankar, at the San Fernando 2nd Magistrates’ Court, on Wednesday 23rd May, 2018, where he pleaded not guilty to the offences.

The matter has been adjourned to Monday 25th June, 2018.

15-year-old Tobago boy charged with burglary

A 15-year-old boy has appeared before a Scarborough Magistrate, charged with burglarising the home of a 50-year-old woman, of Union Village, on Thursday 29th March, 2018.

The minor appeared before Magistrate Annette McKenzie on Tuesday 3rd April, 2018, where he pled not guilty to the offence and was released on his own bond.

The matter has been adjourned to Tuesday 24th April, 2018.

The victim secured her home at around10 pm on Wednesday 27th March, 2018, and retired to bed.

T&T woman placed on US$60,000 bail in BVI on burglary charge

A Trinidad and Tobago was has been granted US$60,000 bail by a magistrate in the British Virgin Islands for allegedly breaking into her former roommate’s house and making off with more than US$8,000 cash.

28-year-old Jenna Paponette has been charged with the offence.

The prosecution has alleged that, on April 20 this year, Paponette’s former room-mate secured her residence and went to work.

When she returned in the evening, her home seemed to have been intact.
