Chow gets silver, Carter settles for bronze

Na­tion­al row­er Fe­lice Chow won sil­ver in the time of 7:46.53 in Women's Sin­gles Scull Fi­nal at the Pan Amer­i­can Games on Fri­day morn­ing, at Al­bufera Medio Mun­do in Li­ma, Pe­ru. She won T&T's eighth medal of the Games.

T&T now has two gold (in cy­cling), four sil­ver (in track cy­cling/road cy­cling/ath­let­ics/row­ing) and a bronze (box­ing & swim­ming).

Carter, Lyons miss out on semis qualifications

T&T swim­mers, Dy­lan Carter and Cadell Lyons both failed to qual­i­fy for the semi­fi­nals of their re­spec­tive men's 50m freestyle and 100m but­ter­fly events when at the 18th FI­NA World Cham­pi­onship which con­tin­ued at the Nam­bu In­ter­na­tion­al Aquat­ic Cen­tre, in Gwangju, South Ko­rea on Fri­day.

The 23-year-old Carter who qual­i­fied for the 100m freestyle at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games on Tues­day night, had a dis­ap­point­ing end to the cham­pi­onship with a 41st place fin­ish in the men's 50m freestyle.

Silver for T&T as Carter 2nd in Commonwealth Games 50m butterfly

Trinidad and Tobago's Dylan Carter has captured a silver medal in the 50 metres butterfly event at the Commonwealth Games.

Carter swam a time of 23.67 seconds to finish behind South Africa's Chad Le Clos in a time of 23.37 seconds.

Another South Arican, Ryan Coetzee was third.
