Entertainment: Drake to host inaugural NBA Awards

Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor - Drake will host the first NBA Awards June 6th at Pier 36’s Basketball City in New York.

The show marks the first time the NBA will hand out its coveted individual performance awards during a single ceremony. Along with Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year and other top awards, the NBA will add additional categories for the show, including fan-voted awards. Categories and finalists will be announced April 27th during Inside the NBA.

Barbadian R&B songstress, Rihanna, 29, is under fire for what she thought was just having a little fun on Instagram with pictures of Queen Elizabeth II, 91.

Rihanna posted four photos of Queen Elizabeth’s head onto Rihanna’s body, an act which is being called 'disrespectful' by fans.

The singer posted a picture of the queen photoshopped onto Rihanna’s body in a fuzzy green outfit, and captioned it “Be Humble.”

Entertainment: Comedian Charlie Murphy dies

Charlie Murphy, Eddie’s older brother, and a very successful and popular stand-up comedian in his own right died today, at 57.

According to Charlie's manager, he died from leukemia this morning in a NYC hospital. He'd been going undergoing chemotherapy. Family members said that they're absolutely shocked because they thought he was getting better.

It was also said that his family would call him frequently, and he'd even joke they were calling too much.

Tyrese has stepped forward to address some backlash he has been getting from black women on social media.

The singer/actor has been very vocal on social media about his feelings about women doing plastic surgeries, wearing weaves and butt implants. But in his interview on The Breakfast Club yesterday, Tyrese Gibson broke things down saying that he was not targeting black women but was talking about women on a whole.

Janet Jackson has split from her third husband, Wissam Al Mana, just three months after welcoming their first child.

The cause of the divorce is unknown. However, reports indicate that the couple recently came to an agreement over the separation, according to TMZ.

Al Mana, a Qatari businessman, is the 50-year-old songstress’ third husband following René Elizondo, Jr. and James DeBarge. Jackson secretly married Al Mana in 2012.

The 'Love Yourself' hitmaker embarked on his string of performances in March 2016, which saw him jet across the globe until September 6 to wow crowds with his songs, and it is believed the profits made from his shows totalled a large sum of money spanning into a nine-digit figure.

According to Billboard, the Box Office has reportedly counted almost three million tickets have been sold over the 122-stop world tour.

Trinidad born rapper, Nicki Minaj reign continues. Just days after announcing her Wilhelmina deal, the rap queen was honored with the Fashion Rebel Award at the 2017 Fashion Los Angeles Awards on Sunday (April 2).

Walking the red carpet at the Sunset Tower Hotel, Nicki dropped jaws in a black Versace dress and extra long hair, that fell down to her laced-up boots. It was the perfect outfit for her award recognition, which was presented by Fergie.
