Another murder was recorded in Arima on Thursday night.
According to a police report, at about 8.30 pm, 43-year-old Julien Caleb was standing at the corner of Eastern Main Road and Kingdom Avenue when a gunman walked up to him and shot him dead.
Julien Caleb was the third resident from Malabar to be killed in the last 12 days.
Police said Caleb lived at Richard Street in Malabar and was a barber.
A robbery suspect was shot by police during a high-speed chase along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway on Tuesday morning.
He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mount Hope.
Police allegedly recovered a firearm from the vehicle he was in.
A 35-year-old man from St Joseph was killed during an argument while at a bar in St Augustine on Friday morning.
According to police, at about 4 am, Joel Collier was at Bamboo's Bar, College Road in St Augustine, when he got into an argument with another man.
Eyewitnesses told police that Collier walked away from the argument, however, the man he was arguing with whipped out a gun and shot him several times killing him on the scene.
On Sunday night, in an unrelated incident, one man was left dead and two others wounded during a shooting incident in Arouca.
Two Venezuelans were shot and wounded within a three-day period in two separate incidents.
In the latest incident, at about 4 am on Tuesday, a Venezuelan man was walking along Ariapita Avenue in Woodbrook when a gunman approached him and attempted to rob him.
Police say the victim attempted to run away but was shot in the leg four times. The attacker then ran off.
The victim was taken to the Port of Spain General Hospital where he was treated and warded in a stable condition.
