Top SEA students inducted into Point Fortin’s Finest

“I'll rise up, I'll rise like the day, I'll rise up, I'll rise unafraid, I'll rise up and I'll do it a thousand times again!” These inspiring words sung by 14 year old singing sensation Gabrielle Henry were the stirring welcome to the top 10 SEA students from Point Fortin as they were inducted on October 8, into the Youth Leadership Development Initiative, which was first established by LNG producer Atlantic in 2000.

Dead man found in stranger's car

A driver in Point Fortin got quite the surprise on Saturday when he found a dead man in his vehicle.
Reports say the man went to work at a bookstore in Point Fortin and left his car parked on the busy roadway. But when he returned he got the shock of his life. a man he did not know lay motionless, crouched down in the back seat.

Two Point Fortin men charged with marijuana possession

Two Point Fortin men are expected to appear before a San Fernando Magistrate today, charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

Sheldon Burnett, 38, a barber, and Marlon Simon David, 49, both of Salazar Trace, Point Fortin, were arrested by officers of the Highway Patrol South Base, during an anti-crime exercise around 9:50am, on Saturday 16th June, 2018.

Officers were on mobile patrol along the M2 Ringroad, Debe, when they had cause to stop and search a silver Nissan Sylphy motor vehicle with two male occupants.

Point Fortin man charged with kidnap of 22-year-old woman

A Point Fortin man is set to appear before a Point Fortin Magistrate today, charged with the kidnapping of a 22-year-old woman, which occurred on Tuesday 15th May, 2018.

Emmanuel Carrington, 20, a woodworker, of Reservoir Hill, Point Fortin, was arrested by officers of the Point Fortin Criminal Investigations Department (CID) following investigations, on Friday 18th May, 2018.

The victim, was alone at her Chatham Village home, when three unarmed men entered the house and forced her into a black motor vehicle and took her to a house along Reservoir Hill.

Two arrested during police exercise in Point Fortin

Officers attached to the Point Fortin police station arrested two men and seized a revolver and ammunition during a police exercise in Capde-Ville on Saturday.
