A Sangre Grande magistrate has allowed two police officers accused of sex offences against a 16-year-old girl to continue on station bail until their next court appearance.
Inspector Christopher Fuentes, 55 and Cpl Dindial Joseph, 45, were both charged with sexual offences against the teenager following instructions from the Director of Public Prosecution Roger Gaspard on Wednesday night.
Both officers were granted police station bail by a Justice of the Peace at Sangre Grande Police Station that same night.

Dave Balkisson a 44-year-old vendor from Cocorite has appeared before a Port of Spain Magistrate charged with sexual penetration and sexual touching of a 14-year-old girl.
Balkisson was charged with three counts of sexual penetration and one count of sexual touching against the victim, when he appeared before Magistrate Aida Mohammed in the Port of Spain 7th Magistrates’ Court, on February 6th.
He was granted bail and the matter adjourned to February 18th.
Jonathan Mohammed, 32 a painter of Warrenville, Cunupia appeared before a Chaguanas Magistrate today charged with sexual penetration of a 15-year-old female.
Mohammed appeared before Magistrate Wendy Dougdeen-Bally, he was denied bail and remanded into custody.
The matter was adjourned to March 1st.
According to police reports, the accused is alleged to have committed the offence against the teen on January 19th, which led to a report of the incident being made to police on January, 2nd.
A man who was charged and released on bail for several previous sexual offences is due to be placed on several identification parades tomorrow.

The matter was adjourned to Thursday 14th June, 2018.
A Princes Town man, charged with buggery and grievous sexual assault against a 19-year-old woman with developmental delays, has been granted bail in the amount of $300,000 with surety, after appearing before a San Fernando Magistrate today.
Negus Charles, 38, a labourer, of Realize Road, Princes Town, who is also charged with indecent assault, appeared before Senior Magistrate Cherril-Anne Antoine in the San Fernando 1st Magistrates’ Court, on Monday 21st May, 2018.
