Temporary traffic disruption Western Main Road 7.6km mark, in the vicinity of King Street

The Ministry of Works and Transport will be conducting road works along the Western Main Road 7.6km mark, in the vicinity of King Street from Friday 28th January,2022 to Sunday 30th January, 2022 between the hours of 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers. Details follow in this press release from the Ministry of Works and Transport:

The Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise the public that there will be a temporary traffic disruption along the Western Main Road 7.6km mark, in the vicinity of King Street. This is necessary in order to facilitate Road Rehabilitation Works.

The disruption will take place from Friday 28th January 2022 to Sunday 30th, January 2022 between the hours of 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. Traffic during this period would be limited to a “single lane” within a section of the work zone.

In light of the above, motorists are advised to comply with the following:-

  • Proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers.
  • Comply with instructions from Police Officers or flag persons on-site, to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic.
  • Be aware of equipment in the work zone and entering/exiting the site.
  • Motorists should drive at a reduced speed and proceed with caution, on approaching the work zone.
