Motorists using the Arima Blanchisseuse Road can expect to experience traffic disruptions for the next couple of weeks, as the Ministry of Works and Transport carries out road works.

An advisory from the Ministry explains that the works are targeting the Arima Blanchisseuse Road 1.7 km mark, and started today, Thursday 26th August, and are scheduled to end on Friday 3rd September 2021.

As a result of this exercise, motorists are to expect traffic disruptions throughout the day with periods where the road will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic. Road users are advised to use alternative routes where possible.

In addition, motorists are advised to proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers around the site.  The Ministry is asking for compliance with instructions from Traffic Wardens and Safety Personnel on site, to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic.

Motorists also are being asked to drive at a reduced speed on approaching the work zone, and to be alert to the heavy equipment entering and exiting the site.
