Three arrested for marijuana possession

Three men were arrested yesterday for possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking after police found one kilogramme of marijuana in the vehicle they were in. The men are expected to appear at the Chaguanas Magistrates’ Court today. The following is a press release from the TTPS:

Officers on mobile patrol in Cunupia yesterday arrested and charged three men for possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking. Around 3:30 pm Ag Sgt John and Ag Cpl Pariag were in an unmarked police vehicle driving along Bridal Road, Cunupia when they observed a silver B14 vehicle with three male occupants acting suspiciously.

The vehicle was stopped and the men were searched. However, nothing illegal was found. Officers then searched the vehicle and allegedly found one kilogramme of marijuana wrapped in a transparent plastic packet.

The occupants of the vehicle, KAREEM HUDSON, 26, of Gibson Trace, North Jerningham Junction, Cunupia, NICOLI EDGAR, 27, of Bridal Road, Cunupia, and LUKE CLARKE, 26, of Third Street, Pranz Garden, Claxton Bay were arrested for possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking. They were subsequently charged by Ag Cpl Pariag. They are scheduled to appear at the Chaguanas Magistrates’ Court today.
