
Officers of the Cedros Police Station are now investigating three men who were intercepted by the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard in a pirogue at sea, on Tuesday 5th May, 2020.
According to official police reports, Coast Guard officers on patrol in the Gulf of Paria intercepted a pirogue entering Trinidad from Venezuelan waters.
There were three occupants in the vessel—one man who lives in Cedros, Trinidad, along with two Venezuelan nationals.
Also in the pirogue was a cage containing one Bull Finch bird.
The suspects, along with the bird, were taken to the Cedros Police Station.
Inquiries are ongoing.
