A worker at the Scarborough General Hospital has tested positive for COVID-19.
This from the Tobago Regional Health Authority(TRHA).
In a release, the TRHA said the staff member has been isolated, staff meetings held and staff provided with psychological support.
It also said contact- tracing began.
It also noted that the hospital will be sanitized, and the scheduled cleaning and disinfection will continue.
Fifteen samples have been sent to CARPHA—the Caribbean Public Health Agency—for testing; two returned positive, the release said.
