Tobago man charged for breaking COVID regulations

One man was arrested for the breach of the Public Health Ordinance regulations in Tobago.
On August 23rd, WPC Carter, of the Crown Point Police Station, was on mobile patrol along Pigeon Point Road, when she saw a man bathing in the sea.


He was instructed to come ashore and when told of the offence he committed, he replied “I was bailing water from a boat with my brother and he leave me so I decided to take a swim.” He was arrested for the offence of the breach of the Public Health Ordinance regulations.

Dale Percy, 48, of Silk Cotton Trace, Bon Accord, appeared virtually at the Scarborough Magistrates’ Court on August 24th and pleaded not guilty. He was granted bail in the sum of $5000 and is expected to return to court on the 18th September, 2020 to answer the charge.
