Tobago man reported missing found dead in Toco

Five days after a Tobago man went missing, his body was recovered down a 300-foot precipice in Toco yesterday.

The body of Javan Locario, 27, of Scarborough, Tobago, was found by hunters, villagers and police from Toco and Matura led by Cpl Kassiram of the Toco Police Station yesterday.

The man went with friends from Four Roads, Tamana, on a lime in San Souci before going for a walk but failed to return.

A report was made to the Toco Police Station and a search was conducted in the area but he was never found until yesterday.

The body was identified by a friend.

The body was viewed by a District Medical Officer and ordered to the Sangre Grande Hospital Mortuary from where it will be taken to the Forensic Science Centre for an autopsy.
