Commissioner of Police, Gary Griffith has sent a letter of apology to the Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley.
This comes after a public spat between the two, over the enforcement of the Public Health Regulations.
The Prime Minister had concerns that the police should enforce the law at an alleged party at Bayshore Towers, Cocorite, in which there were approximately 40 persons in attendance a breach of the Public Health Regulations and no arrests were made. The issue triggered a meeting between the Commissioner and Prime Minister on September 14th.
During a press briefing today, the commissioner told the media that he also will be cancelling his vacation, carded to start on Friday, October 2nd.
He was expected to travel to Ireland to meet his wife and son.
