Road users can expect intermittent traffic disruptions along the Western Main Road this week, to facilitate the cleaning of drains in the vicinity of West Mall and Superpharm.
An advisory from the Ministry of Works and Transport and NIDCO—the National Infrastructure Development Company Limited—explains the disruptions will be between the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily, from today, Tuesday 10th to Saturday 14th November 2020.
The Ministry and NIDCO advise that the intermittent traffic disruptions will be along the shoulder/layby of the westbound section of the Western Main Road, and the deceleration lane from the westbound section of Western Main Road to Columbus Boulevard, in the vicinity of West Mall and Superpharm.
Motorists are urged to proceed with caution and drive at a reduced speed on approaching the work zone, and to be aware of heavy equipment entering and exiting the site.
The Ministry and NIDCO also advise motorists to observe all temporary directional signage provided on the approaches to site.
Most importantly, the advisory says, motorists must comply with instructions issued by police officers on site to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic.
