The chairman of the board of directors of the Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA), Ingrid Melville, has resigned. This was confirmed by the TRHA.

Guardian Media understands she sent in her resignation on June 15th.

Here is the full text of her resignation letter.

“I wish to inform you that I have tendered my resignation as a member and Chairman of the Board of the TRHA with immediate effect.

Undoubtedly, these are difficult times as the TRHA is at the forefront of Tobago’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. I have carefully considered and weighed this as I made the decision to resign.

I believe that as an entity, the Board of the TRHA is at a place where all members have a sound understanding of the organization which you are called upon to lead.

I know that the Executive carefully selected each member, and your talent and skills would serve the organization in good stead.”
