Another person has died from a COVID-19 infection taking the virus’ total death count locally up to 130.
According to the Ministry of Health’s daily update, the person was an elderly female with comorbidities.
The Ministry also confirmed 15 new infections yesterday from samples collected between January 11 and 13.
Of these are two people from Tobago. This brought the total number of infections to be recorded in the country up to 7,320.
The total number of people to recover also rose to 6,896 after the ministry released five people from home self-isolation as recovered community cases.
Active cases now stand at 294. Of these 32 are in hospitals, 17 are in step-down/transitional facilities while 230 are in home self-isolation.
There are 225 people in state quarantine facilities.
