Two arrested for house breaking and larceny

Two men are due to appear in court today, to face charges of house-breaking and larceny.

Two men are due to appear in court today, to face charges of house-breaking and larceny.

According to official police reports, Akil Mohammed and Amin Mohammed, both of Piarco Old Road, were arrested and charged for the offence on September 4th, 2020, by officers of the Maloney CID.

A TTPS release indicates that on Tuesday 1st September 2020, police received a report from a Danpat Seetal Trace resident, concerning a theft at his residence.

The man informed officers that he secured his premises and left to visit family members in Point Fortin where he overnighted. Upon his return, he found that his home had been ransacked and that three Samsung televisions and seven gold rings, inclusive of one wedding band, were missing.

Further investigations led the police to the two men behind the theft, and they subsequently were arrested and charged them for house-breaking and theft of the items.

They are expected to appear before the courts, today.
