The Traffic and Highway Patrol Branch (THPB) arrested two men allegedly involved in a stolen vehicle incident. Police officers intercepted the vehicle in the vicinity of the Debe Roundabout and a search was conducted which resulted in the seizure of one revolver with six rounds of .38 ammunition. Two men, who were allegedly involved in report of larceny motor vehicle earlier today, were arrested by officers of the Traffic and Highway Patrol Branch (THPB).

The suspects are a 22-year-old Oropune Gardens man and a 33-year-old San Juan man.

This afternoon, THPB Debe police officers were conducting a speed exercise along the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway, San Fernando, when they received information about suspects involved in a stolen vehicle incident at a mall in South Trinidad.

Police officers subsequently spotted the vehicle and a chase ensued.

The vehicle, a gold Nissan X Trail, was later intercepted in the vicinity of the Debe Roundabout.

A search of the vehicle allegedly resulted in the seizure of one revolver with six rounds of .38 ammunition.

The suspects were immediately arrested and are being interrogated by Southern Division Police.

Enquiries are continuing.
